Lois J. Thiessen, of Eugene, Oregon, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2025, at the age of 93.

She was born on July 1, 1932, in Stayton, Oregon, to Hazel and Ira Darkins.

Lois graduated from Eugene High School in 1950 and soon began a career in banking. Later, she became the bookkeeper for her husband Gene’s businesses, Thiessen Motors and Honda of Eugene.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Eugene; her sister, Dorothy Gray; and her brothers, Ronald “Bud” and Jim Darkins. 

She is survived by her daughter, Connie Page (Greg), along with many nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart.

Lois lived a full and joyful life. She enjoyed traveling with friends, snowmobiling, camping, tending to her garden, birdwatching, family gatherings, and an occasional trip to the “Coast”.

Lois was known for her kindness, warmth, and generous spirit, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her. A private gathering of family and close friends will be held to honor Lois’s life.
