Brenda Sue Lalama
November 22nd, 1963 - September 20th, 2025
Brenda Sue Baldwin LaLama, 61, of Auburndale, Florida, passed away peacefully at her home on September 20, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Baldwin. She is survived by her devoted husband of 34 years, Frank LaLama; her mother, Carol Baldwin; her siblings, Darlyne Springer (Joe) and Keith Baldwin; and her brother-in-law, Nino. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews who she loved so much, Derek Springer (Lindsay), Rachel Hutcherson (Melvin), Brady Springer (Melynda), Kara Baldwin (Mason Kuhl), Krista Dingess (Trevor), Phillip LaLama, Kathy LaLama, William LaLama (Jennifer), and Robert Tolley (Brianne), along with 10 great-nieces and nephews who she greatly adored: Natalie, Grant, Solomon, Hazel, Everson, Jack, Piper, Gage, Lily Brenda, and Jackson. She will also be deeply missed by her faithful shepherds, Nero and Bella.
Brenda was born on November 22, 1963, in Orlando, Florida, and grew up in Plantation. She attended Santa Fe College in Gainesville before marrying Frank and beginning their life together in Key West. She worked in information technology for Monroe County, later joined Keys Energy, and also worked with H&R Block in Key West. After relocating to Auburndale 15 years ago, she purchased and operated a very successful H&R Block franchise in Haines City for 10 years.
A brave and resilient woman, Brenda was a four-and-a-half–year survivor of Stage 4 lung cancer. She underwent immunotherapy, chemotherapy, and radiation as part of research programs at Moffitt Cancer Center, whose work she greatly valued. As she lives now with Jesus, her Lord and Savior, in Heaven, her courage, confident determination, and perseverance, will inspire and encourage us to continue to live our lives to the fullest.
Brenda will be remembered for her vivacious personality, her selfless generosity, and her ability to bring joy and laughter to everyone around her. She found happiness in traveling the world with her husband and friends, boating in the Florida Keys, gardening, supporting Echo Dogs White Shepherd Rescue, and spending time at the cabin she and Frank built in Maggie Valley, North Carolina. Most of all, she treasured time with Frank, her family, her friends, and her beloved dogs.
A celebration of Brenda’s life will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Lakes Church of Auburndale, 341 State Road 559 / 341 Polk City Road, Auburndale, at 1:00 p.m., followed by food and fellowship at the church.
Flower deliveries should be sent to Lakes Church of Auburndale on Saturday, October 4, 2025.
