William "Jerry" Gerald Wurm
December 23rd, 1950 - September 13th, 2025
William Gerald "Jerry" Wurm, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, went to be with
the Lord on September 13, 2025. Born in Pittsburg, California, and raised in Amador County, Jerry was a man of deep faith, strong work ethic, and boundless love for his family. He was a 1969 graduate of Amador High School, where he played football, basketball, and ran track. As a young man, he worked for the California Department of Forestry as a firefighter, proudly serving his community. Jerry and his son Benjamin started Excel Electric in 2000. A longtime member of the Church of the Nazarene in Sutter Creek, Jerry's faith guided him in every part of his life. Known for his devotion to his family, Jerry was an avid sports lover who never missed his children's games and events, and he faithfully supported his grandchildren in theirs. He also served as a coach for youth football and soccer, investing in the lives of many children in the community. His presence in the stands was cherished by his family. Jerry also loved the outdoors and the simple joys of life. One of his favorite pastimes was spending time at the local lakes, especially Silver Lake, where he enjoyed hiking, fishing, and taking in the beautiful scenery with his wife, Becky. He was a lifelong fan of the San Francisco Giants and 49ers. He attended the 2014 World Series in San Francisco and the 2020 Super Bowl in Miami. Jerry is survived by his son, Jerod Wurm (Sherril), and their children, Macey, Matsen, and Mavery. - Son Benjamin Wurm and wife Heather. - Son Jamen Wurm (Teseena) and their children, Makayla, Aubrey, and Hudson. - Daughter Kristen Roeder (Aaron) and their children, Tessa, Kade, Zane, and Peja. - Son Nathan Wurm (Christy) and their children, Lincoln, Brooklynne, and Paxton. Jerry was blessed with 13 cherished grandchildren, each of whom brought him immense joy. He is also survived by his brother, Bobby Wurm. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Barbara Wurm, and his brother, Thomas Wurm. Jerry's legacy will live on in the family he loved so dearly, the work he built with his wife and his own hands, and the countless lives he touched with his kindness, laughter, and steadfast faith.
