Dolores “Lola” or “Lo” Vigil, age 84, of Denver, Colorado, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2025. Born in Denver, CO, Dolores was the beloved daughter of the late Lee B. Peña and Juana (Jennie) Nieto. 

 

Dolores was the cherished wife of John Vigil, with whom she shared over 60 years of love and partnership, including 54 years of marriage. She attended West High School in Denver and spent her life devoted to her family and friends. 

 

She was the proud mom and stepmom of Juanita Beltran (deceased), Ralph Fontine III (deceased) (Lydia), Ron Vigil, Sr. of Lakewood, CO, Annette Vigil (Albert) (both deceased), Steve Vigil, Sr. (deceased), Donna Gallegos (Louis) of Denver and Audrey Reyes (Woody) of Denver.  

 

Her legacy continues through her many grandchildren: Michael Narvaiz, Laurie Fontine, Eddie Perlman (Lisa), Adrian Perlman (Trista), Rionna Bussey (Travis), Ron Vigil, Jr. (deceased), Rosemarie Vigil, Jonathan Vigil, Albert-John West (Adrianna), Steven Vigil, Jr. (Dez), Sarah Vigil, Stevanie Vigil, Christopher Vigil, Jadon Vigil, Trinity Vigil, Tommy Trujillo (deceased), Johnny Vigil, Donielle Bascio (Dave), Valentina Ramirez (David), Louis Perez (Paijen), Rocky Gallegos (Nicole), Sean Guzman, Aubrey Reyes, Gloria Reyes and Manuel Reyes.  She was blessed with 24 Grandkids, 42 Great-Grand Kids and 4 Great-Great-Grandkids. 

 

Dolores was preceded in death by her siblings Geneva Kraft, Connie Torres (Bill), and Robert Peña, and is survived by her loving husband John, many cousins, god kids, nieces and nephews, and dear friends. She was the matriarch of her family, a guiding light whose warmth and strength touched everyone she met. 

 

She found joy in fishing, spending time in Black Hawk, being a wife, mom, grandma, aunt, nina, cousin, and friends to all. Her love, wisdom, and smile and laughter will be deeply missed and fondly remembered. 

 

Services will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at All Saints Church, 2559 S Federal Blvd., Denver, CO 80219. 

  • Family Viewing: 10:30 AM 

  • Public Viewing: 11:00–11:45 AM 

  • Mass: 12:00–1:00 PM 

  • Procession to Crown Hill Mortuary, 7777 W 29th Ave, Wheat Ridge, CO 

  • Crypt-side Service at the Tower of Memories: 2:00 PM 

  • Reception to follow at All Saints Church 

  • Arrangements are being handled by All Veterans Funeral & Cremation, Wheat Ridge, CO.
