Farley Funeral Homes and Crematory - Venice
Peter (Pete) Ralph Rodriguez
December 17th, 1936 - September 5th, 2025
Peter Ralph Rodriguez (Pete) was born on December 17, 1936, in East Chicago, Indiana and passed into eternal life on September 5, 2025, at his home, in Venice, FL.
Pete was a 1956 Graduate of Bishop Noll High School and attended Southern and Western Il Universities.
While living in East Chicago, Pete’s occupation was a foreman in the 76” Hot Strip Mill at the Inland Steel Company.
Deployed in the U.S. Army as a Military Policeman and he was honorably discharged in 1961.
Pete was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus, Our Lady of Lourdes Council, 9924; former Newcomer of Venice Alumni; Notre Dame Football Fan Club and the Fun Bunch of Venice.
He volunteered in various activities through the years; food collection, Tootsie Roll Drive, Pancake Breakfast, newsletter assistance, and made Veteran’s visits.
Pete’s chili picnics at the beach made for great times for friends throughout the years. The chili was prepared by Pete, and in later years, a hat was passed around at the picnic for donations. Pete donated and matched those donations, and he gave the money to The Mother’s House in Venice.
Pete was a great storyteller and loved to make everyone laugh.
Making sure not to miss any of his son’s swim meets, football games, and baseball games, he was his son’s most avid supporter in life.
There are so many dear friends and family members to thank for all your support. We shall never forget you.
