Seemoy Mokund
September 17th, 1928 - September 11th, 2025
Seemoy Mokund, a cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 11th, 2025. Born in Tableland, a small village outside of PrincesTown, Trinidad and Tobago, on September 17, 1928, Seemoy was a pillar of strength and a true matriarch.
She was an astute and successful businesswoman who owned and operated numerous businesses throughout her life. Her entrepreneurial spirit was matched only by her generosity, as she often took on the role of caregiver for her large extended family, which included 12 siblings, and her own 5 children. Seemoy was a talented cook, and a devoted Catholic. Seemoy's legacy is one of resilience, hard work, and unwavering devotion to those she loved.
Seemoy is preceded in death by her sons, Gerard Lee Hing (Merrily van der Steenhoven), Hayden Lee Hing (Lynette Lee Hing), and Derek Mokund.
She is survived by her loving children, Debbie Gapud and Winston Mokund.
Her memory will beforever cherished by her eight grandchildren: Christopher and Brian Gapud, Jasara Hines (LeeHing) and Jasinda Lee Hing, Matthew and Nicholas Lee Hing, and Sarah and Emily Mokund.She also leaves behind 11 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren, who will carry on her remarkable legacy.
