Richard "Big Rich" William Kovacs

Richard William Kovacs, of Maplewood, MN, passed away on Monday, September 22, 2025 at St John's Hospital.
Richard was fondly referred to by his friends as "Big Rich". He was a devoted member of the JFD Motorcycle Club. Rich enjoyed golfing, fishing and his love was riding his motorcycle.
Rich worked as a diesel mechanic both on locomotives and semis. He was a proud United States Army Veteran, serving mostly in Fairbanks, Alaska.
Rich is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Sherry, his extended family the JFD members, and many close friends and family.
A celebration of Rich's life will be held Friday, October 10, 2025 from 1:00pm- 4:00pm at the North Saint Paul American Legion.
