Rebecca Rivell
April 23rd, 1935 - September 16th, 2025
Rebecca Mary Rivell (nee Bates), 90, of West Deptford, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2025.
A selfless wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Rebecca dedicated her life to caring for others. She never met a stranger and was always willing to help others in need. She enjoyed reading, completing puzzles, watching old movies and baking (especially her homemade apple pie!). In her younger years, Rebecca was a volunteer with the ladies' auxiliary at West Deptford Little League. She was an advocate for animal rescues and has been an animal lover throughout her life.
Rebecca is the devoted mother of George and Katherine Rivell, Debra Ann Damminger, Eric Rivell and Ken Rivell; dear sister to Ethel and her husband Ed Valerio; Treasured grandmother to Geoffrey, Graig (Delia), Ryne (Rose), Alexis (Amber), and Kim (Michael). She will also be greatly missed by her extended family and friends.
She is predeceased by her parents Clarence and Rebecca (Miller) Bates; her beloved husband of 68 years, George C. Rivell; her grandson, Grant; siblings, Clarence, Harry, Joseph, Kenneth, Alice, Ella and Mildred; Son-in-law, Robert Damminger and daughter-in-law, Vicki.
Rebecca was laid to rest in Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro on Saturday, September 20, 2025.
