Diuguid Funeral Services & Crematory - Timberlake
Robert "Bob" Bennett Martin, Sr.
November 21st, 1938 - September 22nd, 2025
Robert (Bob) B. Martin Sr. (86) went home to be with his Lord and Savior on September 22, 2025. Bob is a devout Christian that loves the Lord and his family immensely. There was nothing he would not do for his family. Bob is survived by his wife Laverne Martin, son R.B. Martin Jr., daughter-in-law Alice Martin, and granddaughter Elizabeth (Joe) Sabella, sister Phyllis Ann Griffin and sister-in-law Mattie Ward.
Bob will be sorely missed here on the earth as he had a thriving ministry to many widowed ladies. He called and visited them regularly and played puzzle games with them over the phone. Bob loves his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and he loves people.
Bob was so grateful for all the cards sent and visits from so many friends. He was so appreciative of everything his family, friends and medical team did as he battled lung cancer. Bob fought the good fight with a wonderful spirit, that only his Lord Jesus could have given.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 12 noon at Diuguid Waterlick Chapel with Pastor Carlton Duck officiating. Family and friends are invited to share food and fellowship after the service. The interment will take place on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at 11:00 am at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers or meals, please contribute to the charity of your choice.
