John Louie Stasney, 73 of Chapin, SC passed away Friday, September 19, 2025, at Lexington Medical Center after a brief illness of Glioblastoma (Brain Cancer).

He was the son of the late Edith S. Stevens and John L. Stasney: stepparents were the late John A. Stevens and Sandra S. Ayers.

John was a graduate of Spring Valley High School.  He spent his entire career in Industrial Sales specializing in the boating industry, later forming his own company.

His grandchildren were the apple of his eye.  He shared many interests with his grandson, Jake, and loved supporting him in his many sports in high school and college.  His granddaughter, Camryn, was his princess, and they shared a special bond.  He even became an Auburn fan in support of her. Johnny was an avid Clemson sports fan. He especially enjoyed Clemson football, basketball, and baseball.  He never missed an opportunity to cheer on his very favorite team.

He was a founding member of the Palmetto Watercraft Association (Jet Skis).  Johnny had many interests including cars, music, the zoo, the lake, the mountains, and Hilton Head, but his greatest love was for his family.

He is survived by his loving wife, Allyson Hunt Stasney, daughter Paige Watson (Chris), grandchildren, Camryn and Jake Watson, four sisters, Phillis S. Stoudemire (Trey), Rosalyn S. Rodgers (Andrew), Mary Lowe, Patricia Gobbel, brother, Louie Stasney and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Glioblastoma Foundation, National Brain Tumor Society, St. Jude’s or charity of your choice.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, October 19, 2025, from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm. At Old Farm Barn, 833 Old Lexington Highway, Chapin, SC  29036.
