John J. Bolton, Jr. "JJ", 70 of Woodbury, New Jersey, after a long illness, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 23rd, 2025.

 

Legacy

Formerly of Pennsauken, NJ, John spent most of his life in Woodbury, NJ, where he raised his family.  A graduate of Rutgers University, John was a talented music teacher, composer, and entertainer. John played several musical instruments including piano and trumpet. An avid sports fan, John enjoyed watching the Phillies and the Eagles play.

 

Family

John is survived by his children, Jacob Bolton, John J. Bolton, III, Emily Tarikt (Lyes); grandsons Victor Bolton and Massinissa Tarikt; mother Rita Bolton (nee Renzi); sisters Joan Didio, Nancy O'Connor (Timothy), Janine Doyle (Paul); and niece Kristen Doyle.

 

Farewell Tribute

Services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Rutgers-Camden music department at the Department of Visual, Media, and Performing Arts (VMPA) with an indication that your gift is for the music program.
