Jeane Marie Bear

Jeane Marie Bear, 82, of Kingsport went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, September 25, 2025 at her home with her family by her side.

She was born in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Charles and Marie Anders. Jeane enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a devoted Christian and pastor's wife. Jeane was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Rev. Clarence Bear; brother-in-law, Bobby Bear. 

Survivors include her sons, Mark Bear and Jonathan Bear and wife Tina; daughter, Regina Shelton and husband Rick; grandchildren, Kristen Bear and husband Josh James, Lauren Hamilton and husband Jake, Chantelle Fitzwater, Clark Fitzwater, Meghan Cornett and husband Tyson, Cole Bear and wife Abby and, Brock Bear and wife Alyssa; great-grandchildren, Poppy Hamilton and Sean Cornett; sisters, Marilee Matz and Lynn Kemper and husband Jimmy; brother-in-law, Phil Bear and wife Diane; sister-in-law Margaret Bear; along with a host of friends and extended family.  

The family will receive friends from 5pm to 7pm on Sunday, September 28, 2025 at Temple Baptist Church. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Jonathan Bear and Pastor Scott Young officiating.  

A graveside service will be conducted at 11am on Monday, September 29, 2025 at East Lawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Clark Fitzwater, Brock Bear, Max Bear, Rick Shelton, Scott Lambert, Mike Riddle, and Cole Bear. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at Temple Baptist Church by 10:30am to go in procession to the cemetery.
