Margaret U. Vanlier (nee Easton), aged 76, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, September 24th, 2025.
Legacy:
Born in Dundee, Scotland, Margaret inherited a thick Scottish accent—subtle to those closest to her but unmistakably strong to others. She was instantly recognizable and unforgettable. Her accent was more than just a way of speaking; it was a part of her identity, one that brought smiles and sparked conversations wherever she went.Margaret was known for her upbeat personality and easygoing nature. She faced life with steadfast courage and a deeply accepting heart. As a cancer warrior, she fought the good fight with grace and determination, never letting it dim her light.
She spent her career as a dental assistant, always bringing care and kindness to those she served. But her proudest accomplishment was her family. Being a loving wife, a nurturing mother, a cherished Mom- Mom and loving fur mom to Bluey brought her great joy. Margaret found peace in the simple beauty of the natural world. She loved gardening side by side with her husband Tom, taking nature walks, and spending quiet moments by the lake watching ducks, geese, and swans glide by. These small joys reflected the deep serenity she carried within her.
Family:
She is the beloved wife of Thomas Vanlier; devoted mother of Christopher Ulerick, and Tommy; treasured Mom-Mom of Nicky, Emily, Hanna, Lexi, Kyle, Samantha, Dylan, and Ryan. Devoted great grandmother to; Mariana, Everleigh (Bookie), Bella, Dylan Jr. and LeilahLyn. Dear sister of Anne Karwowski (Robert), Sandra Clark (Drew) and Sandra Miller (Carl Miller). Predeceased by her parents Alexander Easton and Hanna Easton (Gallagher) and her daughter Wendy.
