Charles "Chuck" Joesph Walter
December 5th, 1947 - September 25th, 2025
Charles Joseph “Chuck” Walter, 77, husband of Donna Walter, passed away Thursday, September 25, 2025. He was born in Geneva, Nebraska, on December 5, 1947, to the late Dolores Bissonette and Linus Walter. He was the president of H & R Mechanical Contractors, Inc. and was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.
Chuck earned a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln and was a member of the UNL golf team. He enjoyed playing competitive golf. One of his greatest golfing achievements was winning the Nebraska Match Play Championship in 1973. After college, he worked for Square D Company as an auditor while in Lincoln and moved to Oshkosh, WI, Palatine, IL, and Lexington, KY, in various accounting positions. An opportunity arose and he purchased H & R Mechanical Contractors in Georgetown, KY, and served as president until his retirement.
Chuck was an active member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton and served on the School Council, Stewardship Committee, and was a Knight of Columbus having served a term as a Grand Knight and was a member of their bowling team. He loved watching and wagering on horse races and football, especially the Nebraska Cornhuskers. And he was a card shark! Chuck enjoyed his family, friends, and life…..and being the “Tickle Monster” to his grandkids!
Besides Donna, his wife of 51 years, those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Jennifer (Randy) Miloszewski; son, Chad Walter; brother, Richard Walter; sisters, Catherine TenHulzen, Celeste Ley, and Therese Michels; and grandchildren, Channing Walter, Everly Walter, Anna Miloszewski, Dakota Walter, and Nevin Walter.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at Clark Legacy Center (601 East Brannon Road, Nicholasville) with a Christian Prayer Vigil and affirmations and eulogies offered about Chuck’s life beginning at 7:00 pm. All are welcome!
