In Loving Memory

Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, Christine Bush Welborn, went to be with the Lord Jesus on Monday, September 23, 2025, at the age of 78.

Christine was born on January 9th, 1947, to the late Annie Margaret (Brewer) and Joseph Eli Bush. Born and raised in Browns Summit, North Carolina, Christine made her life there. Working for 18 years at Tyco Electronics, Christine would build the home she would live her life in, adding another piece to the Welborn family legacy in Browns Summit.

Everyone who met Christine knew her for her love of her family and of God. A woman of faith throughout her life, Christine always brought her love and care for those around her to everything she did in life. She had a laugh that filled the room and a house that was full of family and friends. She was a devoted wife, a caring mother, and a beloved grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

Christine is survived by her daughter, Anita Roxanne Benner, and two sons, William Joseph and Michael Wesley Welborn; grandchildren Hannah and Raechel Welborn and Alec (wife Reagan) and Quinn Benner; sister Doris Adkins; and brothers Joseph, Larry, and Carl Bush (wife Iris). In addition to her parents, Christine is predeceased by her beloved husband of 47 years, William Wesley Welborn, beloved son Donald Lewis Welborn, and siblings Angela Diane Bush, Kathy Lorene Koontz, Donald Lee Bush, and John Paul Bush.

She will be laid to rest beside her husband. The graveside service will be held at 12:00 PM, on Friday, October 3rd, at Westminster Gardens, 3601 Whitehurst Road, Greensboro, North Carolina, 27410.

In lieu of flowers, Mom has asked for donations to the Children's Home Society of North Carolina.
