Champ ""Bob"" Clark Ramsey
April 12th, 1945 - September 26th, 2025
Champ Clark (Bob) Ramsey, Jr. (80)
Bob passed away at his home on Sept. 26, 2025, in Buhl, Idaho. He had a good life and a good wife with three boys.
Born to Daisy and Champ Clark Ramsey, Sr. on April 12, 1945, in Portland, Oregon later moving to Mountain Home, Idaho. His parents met while both were welding on the Liberty ships during World War II. He grew up in Boise graduating from Borah High and then Boise Jr. College.
His career included breaking horses, horse shoeing, construction, Army and BLM. He rode bulls, and bareback horses at rodeos when he was young. Interests and hobbies included...branding with ranchers, shooting rock chucks, duck hunting in high school with Dick Plastino, rounding up wild horses with the Prunty’s and Bieroth’s, enjoyed his time with longtime cowboy friend Mearl Row. He had fun working with and PLAYING with Roger Cada, Keith Nix, Frank Bachman and many others including many ranchers and co-workers whom he was well respected for during his time at the BLM and other jobs. Lots of humorous stories from great friends and coworkers, but probably not a good idea to include in this obituary! Later, after retirement he enjoyed getting to know the latest gossip from the area and all the people he knew and worked with. He also enjoyed having Jimmy Baker run a few cows on his pasture and having some livestock around after not having horses and having someone to chew the fat with.
Special thanks to Melissa Mitchell, Cathy Aslett, Keith and Caroline Nix for their help and support during the recent tough times.
Bob married Marilyn on Jan 11, 1973, and had three boys.
The surviving family include, Wife, three boys. Surviving family includes his Wife, three boys, sister, grand kids, and great-grand kids and many others.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, Oct. 3, 2025, in the Bruneau Cemetery at 11:30 AM. A luncheon at the Legion Hall will follow in Bruneau, Idaho. All friends and family are invited.
In lieu of flowers a donation to the Bruneau Booster Club or American Legion 83 in Bruneau.

Rost Funeral Home
As the only funeral home in Elmore County, the staff at Rost Funeral Home work hard to be active members of the Mountain Home community and to be there to take care of families in every way possible when the need arises. Our funeral home opened in 2005 when Jerry and Janette Rost purchased the business. We’ve continued to grow along with Mountain Home. Jerry’s career began more than fifty years ago in Boise, and along the way, he acquired an 1897 horse-drawn funeral carriage, which we proudly display in our facility....
