Carol Ann Hill

Carol (Peterson) Hill, 69 – Our wonderful and beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, and Aunt, passed away peacefully at home on September 25th, 2025 surrounded by the love of family and friends.  Carol fought a courageous battle with cancer for over 3 years during which time she remained active and prioritized spending time with family and friends. 

Carol is survived by her husband of 40 years, Doug, daughter Chelsea Suggs (Sean), son Eric (Saumadritaa), brother David Peterson (Terri), sister Amy Miley (Jay), her two adorable Grandsons, which were her world, and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her Mother Claire Peterson, Father Leroy Peterson, and brother Thomas Peterson. 

Carol was born in Charleston, SC and moved with her family to Satellite Beach, FL in 1960 when her father was stationed at Patrick Air Force Base.  She attended Satellite High (Go Scorps!) and Brevard Community College.  When Chelsea was born Carol transitioned from a career in inventory control and production management to a stay-at-home Mom, allowing her to be involved in her children’s day-to-day activities and volunteering at their schools.  She was so proud of her children and their accomplishments.  When Carol wasn’t spending time with family and friends she was tending to plants in her botanical garden of a yard and cursing the weeds. 

A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
