Adolfo "Nick" DiGhionno, 84, of Runnemede, N.J. passed away peacefully after a long illness on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at the Cardinal Village Senior Living Community in Sewell, N.J.

 

Legacy

Born on January 22, 1941, in Pescara, Italy, Nick was the son of a professional bread baker. He mastered his father's craft and, seeking a new life, came to America with his beloved wife, Maria, in 1965. Nick realized his dream by opening his own successful business, Nick's Bakery in Lindenwold, N.J., where he was celebrated for making the best bread in the state.

 

Family

Nick is survived by his devoted wife of 60 years, Maria; his twin brother, Benito DiGhionno; his loving daughters, Elda Milef (Boris Milef) and Maria Indriso; and his cherished grandchildren, Gabriella Milef, Nicholas Milef, and Olivia Indriso. He also leaves behind nephews in Italy.

 

Farewell Tribute

In accordance with Nick's wishes, the family plans to hold a private ceremony to spread his ashes in the Adriatic Sea off the coast of his hometown, Ortona, Italy.
