Donna Hutchinson

Donna Marie Hutchinson, 70, of Longmont Colorado passed away on September 23 2025. She was born on January 7th 1955 in Norwalk Connecticut to William and Jean Hutchinson. Donna was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.

Donna attended Hyles-Anderson College in Crown Point Indiana and graduated with a teaching degree. Donna had a career with IBM Boulder and retired in 2009. After her retirement from IBM she continued her education receiving a pharmacy technician certificate and worked for various pharmacies, most recently as a medical transporter for Kaiser Permanente.

Donna’s faith was strong. Aside from attending a Christian based college, she was a long time member of Ambassador Baptist Church in Longmont. Donna’s favorite role in life was being a mother to her son Troy. She was happiest being involved in Troy’s everyday life. Donna was a wonderful mother who was always there for Troy offering him love in abundance.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved son Troy, and her stepsons Rick and Scott Waller. She is survived by her siblings Bill Hutchinson of Loveland, Leslie Patinella (Nick) of Loveland , Jamie Penny (Dave) of Loveland, nieces Quinn and Kelly Hutchinson of Fort Collins and nephews Nicholas and Hunter Patinella of Loveland.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at the Colorado Blood Cancer Institute for their kindness, support and dedicated care during Donna’s illness. We also extend a thank you to Donna's longtime friend and caregiver Ted Darst.

A private family burial service will be held.
