Patricia "Patty" Lynn Cleveland
April 10th, 1950 - September 21st, 2025
Patricia Lynn Cleveland, 75, departed this world Sunday, Sept 21, 2025. She passed away with her husband by her side in Candler Hospital, Savannah. Patty had been fighting a difficult six-month battle with heart, lung and kidney failure.
Patty was born at home in Daniels, WV. After graduating from Shady Springs High School, she moved to Bethesda, MD. While working for Peoples Drug Store she met her future husband, Charles. They fell in love and married on Valentines Day 1973 and moved to Silver Spring, MD.
Patty had a 32-year career working at the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, MD as well as volunteer work at the Wheaton Boys & Girls Club and Wheaton High School. Patty loved to travel and play the penny slots at casinos. She enjoyed gardening and taking care of the birds, especially her hummingbirds.
Patty is survived by her husband Charles of 53 years; her son David; and granddaughter Ashley Jones. She is also survived by her brother Jimmy; sister Diana; along with many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her youngest son, James.
Patty is remembered for her kindness, generosity, and most of all, her selflessness. She was also a great cook and baker. Her German chocolate cake was to die for.
A celebration of life for Patty will take place at their home on October 11, 2025, at 3:00 pm.
