Georgette Haas, 100, of Sun City Center, FL died peacefully on September 26th, 2025.  Born in Brooklyn, NY in 1925, Georgette moved to Sun City Center in 1993 from Long Island, NY after the death of her beloved husband of 42 years, Warren W. Haas.

 

While raising her family in West Islip, NY she also worked 25 years for Good Samaritan Medical Center in West Islip. While living in Sun City Center, Georgette was very involved with volunteering at South Bay Hospital, as well as being active within St. Anne Catholic Church.

Georgette is survived by her four children, Geraldine Jensma (Jim) of Coralville, IA; Warren (Pat) of Orlando, FL; David of Sun City Center & Pompano Beach, FL; and Judy of Deep Gap, NC.  She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

 

Mass of the Resurrection will take place at St Anne Catholic Church, Ruskin, FL on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at 11:00AM

 

Visitation will occur one hour before the Funeral Mass in the Chapel of Our Lady of Guadalupe inside St Anne Church.

 

After cremation, Georgette’s cremated remains will be brought to Calverton National Cemetery in Calverton, NY for burial with her husband.

 

Contributions to the Mater Dei Catholic School Building Fund are kindly requested.
