Joyce Mefford McCarthy

In Loving Memory Joyce Mefford McCarthy  November 9, 1937 - September 25, 2025. It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of Joyce Mefford McCarthy, who departed this life peacefully at the age of 87. Joyce was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend whose warmth, wisdom, and kindness touched the lives of all who knew her. Joyce lived a life full of grace, resilience, and compassion. She was known for her loving devotion to her family. She loved being there for her children in any sports activities and supported her  6 children in anything they had a passion doing, from baseball to bowling. Joyce was a team mom. Joyce had a generous spirit and quiet strength. Joyce made those around her feel deeply loved and cared for. Joyce is survived by her 4 sons and their wives. Michael and Teresa, Kevin and Sherryl, Tim and Kathy, and Shawn and Leah. Her 2 daughters Karen and Kenny Adkins and Sharon and Tom Moyer.  Joyce is also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren. Jessica and Dustin Cleghorn, Marissa, Eric and Jessica, Brandon and Diane, Christopher, Timmy and Meghan, Heather and Daniel Kelleher, Matthew, Stephen, Brittany, Staci, Katie and Jack. Joyce also had 22 great grandchildren, who brought her endless joy and happiness.  Joyce is preceded in death by her beloved husband John M McCarthy, her parents  Arthur and Elizabeth Mefford, her brother Arthur Mefford, and 2 grandchildren Staci Coyne and David Mather. A private Celebration of Life will be held with immediate family members to honor Joyce's Memory in a setting filled with love and remembrance. Joyce leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Her presence will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
