In Loving Memory
Lake Murray – A memorial service for Everett Jennings Cashion, 66, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 3, 2025, at White Rock Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. A reception will follow the service in the Fellowship Hall.
Everett passed away peacefully at home on September 30, 2025. Raised in Irmo, he was the son of the late Everett L. (Buddy) Cashion and the late Jimmie H. Hightower. He was a 1977 graduate of Irmo High School, and the Vice President of Cashion Electricians, Inc. for more than 45 years. He truly loved what he did and was considered a Master of his trade by those in his industry. He was a member of Columbia Electrical Council and American Subcontractors Association of South Carolina.
Everett had many interests with some of his favorites being fishing, boating (cove to coast) and watching old Spaghetti Westerns. To say he was a true Gamecock fan is an understatement.
He is survived by his wife, Tammy Cashion; daughter, Ada Melton; stepfather, Cal Hightower; brother, Tony Cashion (Athena); sister, Mary Mullen (Russ); three nephews, Travis Cashion (Ashland), Chase Goldiner (Shayla), Tanner Goldiner (Karen); and long-time friend and “adopted” sister, Sandy Harrington.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the many special friends and family members who have always been there for him and his family. A special thanks goes to his loving in-laws, Necia and Johnny Free, and the wonderful staff and nurses at Lutheran Hospice.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Everett’s memory can be made to White Rock Baptist Church, https://onrealm.org/WRBC/-/form/give/whiterockbaptist, and/or Camp Cole https://www.campcole.org/
