Angelita Sortera Roach
January 10th, 1937 - September 12th, 2025
Angelita Sortera "Angie" Roach (Lucero), born on January 10, 1937, in Arabella, New Mexico, she passed away peacefully at home on September 12, 2025, in Roseville, California. She was 88 years old.
Born to Rogelo and Mary Lucero, Angie grew up in a large family in the heart of New Mexico. Her early years were shaped by the values of resilience, and devotion to family—principles that would guide her throughout her life.
Angie married Rayburn Roach, with whom she shared a long and devoted marriage until his passing. Together they built a life centered around their family. Angie was the proud mother of five children: Linda Salsberry (Richard), Rayburn Roach II (Sheryl), Roger Roach (Karen-deceased), Brenda Westmoreland (Gary-deceased), and Glenda Phelan (John). Her legacy continues through her 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild—each a testament to the enduring love and strength she instilled in her family.
She is also remembered fondly by her siblings Jerry, Roger, Richard, and Cathy.
Angie was preceded in death by her beloved husband Rayburn Roach; her parents Rogelo and Mary Lucero; her siblings Raymond, Henry, Yoli, Goya, and Elsie.
Angie's life was marked by quiet strength and unwavering dedication to those she loved. Her home was a place of warmth where generations gathered to share stories, laughter, and meals. She took immense pride in watching her family grow and flourish.
Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her—for the unconditional love she gave so freely to her children and all of her grandchildren. Her direct bluntness, sense of humor, and her one line phrases will keep us laughing every time we think of her. In her memory, visit one of her favorite places, Thunder Valley.
May her memory bring comfort to those who knew her.
