Emily Kinney (nee Schenkel) age 80 of Woodbury New Jersey passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Legacy:
Born in Philadelphia Pennsylvania, she was patriotic and cherished her German roots. She had a spunky personality. She would help anyone. On September 17, 1966, Emily married Raymond (Ray) Kinney in Philadelphia, P.A. They shared 59 years of marriage. Emily was a devoted mom to Kellyann and Rayleen. She loved rooting for the Phillies, Flyers and going to the Marine Corps league on Sundays to watch the Eagles. She also loved trips to the casinos where she enjoyed playing slot machines. She loved her Pepsi and M&M dispensers.
Emily was a life member of the Marine Corps League Auxiliary.
Family:
She is survived by her husband, Ray and daughter Rayleen (Brian) Welsh. Sister-in-laws Margie Walder and Donna Rooney and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Kellyann, Brother Adolf and Sisters, Irma and Rosie. She was the precious daughter to the late Mrs. Emilie Oertel and Mr. Oscar Schenkel.
Farewell:
Friends and family are invited to attend Emily’s visitation from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm followed by funeral services beginning at 3:00 pm at McGuinness Funeral Home, Woodbury NJ 08096.
Interment will be private.
