Jason Fugate

Jason Fugate, age 47, of Kingsport went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 2, 2025. He was born in Kingsport to Terry and Sharon Fugate on January 31, 1978. Jason was a beloved coach for Tribe Nation Youth Football, always encouraging and cheering on his players. He was a gifted artist in drawing. Jason enjoyed decorating with his mom and hunting with his dad. He enjoyed doing all the big brother things to his little sissy. Jason will be remembered as a loving father to Brennan, Taitum, and Boone, son and brother. He was the best uncle to “May May” and “Say Say”. Jason will also be remembered for his sense of humor and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. 

Those left to cherish his memory are his parents Terry and Sharon Fugate; son Brennan Fugate; daughter Taitum Fugate; sister Hope (Eryck) Dockery; nieces Maci Fugate and Sadie Fugate; bonus brother Thomas McKinley; and a host of extended family and friends.  

A visitation of family and friends will be held on Monday, October 6, 2025, at North Kingsport Church of God from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Charles Bogle, Pastor Victor Alley, and Pastor Wayne Morelock officiating. A graveside service will follow at Emory United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Thomas McKinley; Eryck Dockery; Brad Lawson; Joshua Haynes; Travis Kilgore; Brian Necessary; Antuan “Waldo” Smith; and Travis Ramey. Honorary pallbearers will be Parker Ramey; Jeff Sword; and Toby Fugate.
