Rebecca Sue Luster, 72, of Lakeland, Florida, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at Lakeland Regional Health. Born on April 8, 1953, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Robert and Oneta Luster, Rebecca lived a vibrant life filled with creativity and wit.
Rebecca dedicated much of her career to Lockheed Martin in Fort Worth, where she excelled as a facilities planner. Two years ago, she relocated to Lakeland, Florida, embracing a new chapter. She found joy in gardening, crafting intricate bead jewelry, and sharing her sharp sense of humor with those around her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Oneta Luster, and her brother, Bobby Luster. Rebecca leaves behind a loving family, including her daughter, Amber Phillips, and son-in-law, Kevin Phillips, of Lakeland, Florida; her three cherished granddaughters, Ashlin, Amelia, and Reagan Phillips; and her sister, Elouise Knight, of Bedford, Texas; a brother Donald Luster, nephew Kevin and wife Cherith, and great nieces Kylie Adkins and Hannah Knight.
Rebecca’s warmth, creativity, and humor will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
