Maureen ""Mo"" Hammond
January 13th, 1950 - October 4th, 2025
"Where must we go, we who wander this wasteland, in search of our better selves?"
Mom loved the water, animals and kids. She was a horrible cook but made the best Chicken enchiladas on the planet.
She loved her parents, grandchildren, great grandchildren, sisters, brothers, and George W Bush. She was quick to spot a butterfly or hummingbird. She crashed her school-bus into a church awning. She loved The Rolling Stones and Tom Petty. She was a heck of a frisbee player. She spent most of her life helping others working in special education at the Eugene School District 4J, South Hills Rehabilitation and Allison Park Christian Daycare. She loved supreme pizza, Hillary Clinton, Little House on the Prairie and long walks on the beach. You could always find her dancing at the Saturday Market - she was one Hell of a Dancer.
She is survived by her Grandchildren Kaylea, Kayla, and Kalib, her Great Grandchildren Blakely, and Harlow. Her sons Jess and Hunter.
Sisters Joy, Sue, Tere and Mel, Brother Mike. She was preceded in Death by her Brother Tom and Parents Orrin and Pauline Hammond.
