Angie Maria Preciado, a beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2025, at UC Health Hospital in Greeley, Colorado. She was 75 years old.

Angie was born on July 13,1950, in Greeley to Santos and Carmen (Martinez) Preciado. She was raised in Ault, Colorado, where she attended school and grew up surrounded by the values of hard work, family, and faith.

She spent many years working in the fields of Kinoshita Farms, embracing a life rooted in the land and community. Angie always remained a country girl at heart.

A gifted cook, Angie found great joy in preparing her favorite Mexican meals, especially her famous enchiladas, which she lovingly made for family and friends. Her home was always filled with comfort and love.

Angie also had a deep love for Christian music, often listening to her favorite songs, I Can Only Imagine and Levanto Mis Manos, which brought her peace and spiritual strength.

One of Angie’s greatest blessings in life was her second family, the Vigils. In 1972, she met Julia Vigil, who became a lifelong friend and sister in spirit. Angie’s heart extended to the entire Vigil family: Daniel (Cathy) Vigil, Donna Pisano, Shareen Vigil, Siara Vigil (Goddaughter), EJ Vigil, and Danielle Gonzales. She shared countless joyful memories with them, from trips to Estes Park, bowling nights, shopping adventures, and dinners out—especially at her favorite restaurants, Olive Garden and The Rio, with EJ by her side.

Above all, Angie loved her family deeply and unconditionally. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and faith.

She is survived by her children: Michael Preciado, Lisa Basquez, Bobbie-Jo Gonzalez, and Leanea Damgaard; and by her siblings: Raymond (Lorna) Preciado, Jr (Diane) Preciado, Terry (Manuel) Rizo, Cathy Padilla, Carmen Archibeque, Lucy Howard, Frank "Lee" (Patty) Vargas, and Margo Preciado,

Angie also leaves behind her grandchildren: Oiram (Stephanie) Gonzalez, Natasha Alaniz, Jordon Tapia, Frankie Cisneros, Christopher Cisneros, Angelo Rosalez, Jhaela Rosalez, Stacey Gonzalez, Ashley Gonzalez, and Oscar Gonzalez; and her great-grandchildren: Mykah Gutierrez, J’Lee Tapia, Wesley Ricks, Jiraiya Rosalez, Giovanni Gonzales, Aariah Gonzales, Millie Gonzales, Zedeciah Cisneros, and Kaleb Cisneros.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Santos and Carmen Preciado, her siblings Rudy Preciado, Joe Preciado, Maryann Flores, Josie Sanchez, Jimmy Preciado, and Rosemary Perez.

Angie will be remembered for her generous spirit, strong faith, and the love she poured into everyone around her. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
