In Loving Memory

Helen M. Geiger, 90, of Sandy Run, South Carolina, died peacefully on October 8, 2025. Born in Louisville, Georgia, on December 16, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Edna (Hadden) Means.

She wasn’t quiet—she was outspoken, passionate, and deeply committed to the people and ministry of Beulah Methodist Church. And she was loved for it.

Her faith was bold, her presence unforgettable, and her love for Jesus was evident in the way she lived and served. Ms. Helen’s impact on Beulah’s church family will be felt for generations to come.

Helen will be remembered by her wisdom, strength, and grace. Her love of family, service to others, and enduring faith left a lasting legacy in the lives she touched.

A dedicated professional, Helen retired from Wells Fargo after a distinguished career as a Branch Manager of several Branch offices in Columbia. She also served her community with integrity and compassion as Magistrate for the Sandy Run District of Calhoun County, South Carolina.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Alex Geiger, and her two sisters, Pauline Means and Annette Weaver. She is survived by her brother, William “Bill” Means; her two devoted daughters, Denise Heaton(Mark), and Melinda Shumpert(Rusty); and five grandchildren who were the light of her life: Ryan Shumpert, Anthony Heaton(Riley), Sara Dunn(Eric), Robert Heaton and Caroline Heaton. Great-grandchildren: Hannah Shumpert and Reese Shumpert, Denver Dunn and Dawson Dunn.

The family will receive friends at Beulah Methodist Church on October 13th from 10:00-11:00 followed by the Funeral service with Pastor Bruce Rucker officiating. The family will have a private burial.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Beulah Methodist Church.
