William “Kell” McGlothlin 67 of Greeley passed away on October 9th, 2025, after a courageous battle of cancer.
Kell was born March 29th, 1958, in Cody, Wyoming to William and Margaret (Wesenburg) McGlothlin. Shortly after birth, his family moved to Greeley, Colorado.
Kell attended school in Greeley at Maplewood Elementary, Health Junior High and Greeley West High School. While in school he participated in basketball, tennis, golf and intermural football. He attended the University of Northern Colorado and received his Bachelor of Science in Small Business management, graduating in 1981.

After graduating in 1981, he worked for Full-Service Beverage in Fort Collins starting as route driver. He was promoted to sales representative for the Longmont/Loveland area servicing 120 accounts weekly. Promoted again in 1988 to service the Greeley area bringing it to the #1 route in the company. He received many awards and accomplishments with this company. In 1991 he left Full-Service Beverage to work for McDoy Distributing as a utility supervisor, his roll included route driver, merchandiser, driver supervisor and retail acct management. In 1998, he started his business Hillcrest Liquor in West Greeley and owned it until retirement in 2024.
When not at work, you might find Kell in the earlier days playing racquetball with friends but in recent years you would find him tying flies, fly fishing, camping, hunting and golfing with friends at one of his many favorite courses. At home he enjoyed spending time in his yard planting beautiful flowers. You would almost always find him with his loyal dogs Tucker, Raven and Drake. His love for his dogs ran deep many years of dogs and the season when he did obedience training.
