In Loving Memory of

Mark Charles Marcheterre, of Cocoa, Florida, passed away on September 26, 2025.

Born in Marlborough, MA, to Grace Cadoret Marcheterre and Charles Marcheterre, Mark grew up in Massachusetts before relocating to Cocoa, Florida, as a teenager. The place he would proudly call home for the rest of his life.

Mark was a machinist by trade but spent the majority of his career as a technician in the aerospace industry. He was deeply passionate about his work and made many great contributions. The highlight of his career was his time working on the Space Shuttle Program, something he took great pride in and often talked about. His sharp mind, skill, and dedication earned him the respect of his colleagues and the admiration of many.

A devoted father, Mark loved coaching Little League when his children were young and sharing his passion for the outdoors, especially fishing. He was happiest when he was spending time with his family, particularly his grandchildren, who lovingly knew him as “Papa.” He lovingly knew all of them as his “little monkeys” He was the best Papa anyone could ask for — endlessly proud, playful, and full of love.

Mark’s family meant everything to him. He is survived by his son, Kenneth D. Marcheterre (and wife Heather) and grandson Ethan; his daughter, Cammi J. Bennett (and husband John) and grandson Grady. He is also survived by his longtime companion Susie, her son Chaz, and Chaz’s children Brantley and Adeline, whom Mark loved as his own. He is further survived by his brother, Charles Marcheterre and two sisters, Doreen Bechan and Crystal Marcheterre, along with many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Eric “Ricky” Marcheterre.

Mark lived a full and adventurous life. His work took him around the world, and he cherished the opportunity to see new places and make lifelong friends along the way. Whether he was riding his motorcycle, cruising in his Corvette, throwing a BBQ or cracking jokes to make others laugh, Mark brought joy and light everywhere he went.

He was a loyal friend, the kind of person who would drop everything to help someone in need. Those who knew him will remember his quick wit, big heart, and the way he made everyone feel like family.

Mark’s legacy will live on in the countless lives he touched, the lessons he shared, and the love he poured into his family and friends. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
