Scott James Pierson, age 73, died on October 7th, in Lake Stevens, Washington. Born on April 2nd in 1952, he is survived by his wife of 54 years, (who he met in kindergarten) Bonnie Pierson, his daughter Erica Pierson, his son James Pierson and James’ wife, Jessica Pierson, as well as his siblings Ken (Ann) Pierson, Ward Pierson, Tami Olhava, and many nieces, nephews, family members, neighbors, friends, and loved ones.
Scott spent his retirement wintering in Tucson, Arizona to play golf with “The Duffers” and summering in Lake Stevens, Washington with his wife and family. He’d worked nearly 30 years in service as a decorated officer with the Port of Seattle Police Department, working alongside many fine law enforcement professionals. Scott served not only as a graveyard patrol officer, but also on a variety of special teams and task forces including long-term stints with the FBI, the Customs Task Force, the PSPD Criminal Investigation Services team, and the Marine Patrol Unit (Boat Squad). He was most proud of his work as a Detective with the DEA Task Force spending nine years investigating and cracking major cases. During his non-working hours he loved fast boats, and faster cars, and was a big believer in game-day traditions for his favorite teams (Go Mariners! Go Cougs! Go Seahawks!)
A celebration of his life will take place on Thursday, November 13th, from 2-4 pm, at Mill Creek Country Club15500 Country Club Dr, Mill Creek, WA 98012.
