Kathleen Entner
July 10th, 1946 - October 4th, 2025
Kathleen Entner, age 79, went home to be with the Lord on October 4, 2025, at Villa Maria in Hurley, Wisconsin.
She was born on July 10, 1946, in Cloquet Minnesota to Kenneth and Blanche Kingsley of Cromwell, MN. The youngest of 5 children loved milking cows, singing in church, and singing with her dad in the barn. Kathy played the clarinet in the high school band and graduated from Cromwell High School in 1964. She went on to work at the Moose Lake State Hospital, F.H. Bathke in Hibbing, The Phoenix Family Center, and the Duluth Bethel Society.
Kathy married Kenneth Entner in 1971. Life took them to Hibbing, MN where they worked hard, built a house, attended church, and started a family. Weekends were spent traveling back to Cromwell and Willow River to see parents and siblings. In 1980 they moved to Cromwell and built another house so they could be closer to the family they cherished.
Saturday mornings you would often find Kathy surrounded by family members drinking coffee and playing cards with her brother-in-law George. Saturday nights were often spent sitting around the record player singing along to Elvis and the Beach Boys. Summers were spent on the tractor making hay and tending her garden. Kathy enjoyed taking care of her flowers and flock of chickens. She was always ready to lend a hand to those in need. Family gatherings were filled with laughter, love, music, and food. Kathy regularly attended church in Cromwell and enjoyed singing for special occasions. Faith continued to be important to her, even as her dementia progressed.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth (June) Kingsley Jr, one sister Jean (George) Westerlund, and nephew Kenneth Kingsley III. Kathy is survived by a daughter Nicole (Myles) Rowe of Ironwood Michigan, two grandchildren, Matthew and Brianna Rowe of Ironwood, two sisters June (Arnold) Collman and Carole (Art) Hill of Cromwell and numerous nieces and nephews who she loved spending time with.
The family would like to thank the staff at Villa Maria in Hurley, Wisconsin who cared for her with love and compassion for the past two years. They would also like to thank the Cardinal Court Assisted Living staff and special friend Barb Burton for watching over her, allowing her to live independently for as long as possible. We would also like to thank Pastor Nicole from Christ Lutheran Parish for her ministry to Kathy the past two years.
Funeral services will be October 25, 2025, at Bethany Lutheran Church in Cromwell at 11am, with visitation one hour prior.
