Patricia Lynn Wilson
October 25th, 1956 - October 12th, 2025
Patricia Lynn Wilson, born Schabert on October 25, 1956, in Tampa, Florida, passed away peacefully in Auburndale, Florida, on October 12, 2025. Patricia was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, whose warmth and kindness touched all who knew her.
Patricia was the devoted mother of two, Erin Bullington and BJ Wilson. She was a cherished grandmother to BJ and Susan's boys: Logan, Lucas, and Maverick, and a caring mother-in-law to Shawn Bullington and Susan Wilson. She is also mourned by her loving mother, Barbara Kirby, and her brother, Jack Schabert, along with sister-in-law Sandy Schabert.
Patricia dedicated her career to serving her community, working for SERVE, where she matched volunteers with schools in the Hillsborough County School system for many years. After moving to Kannapolis, North Carolina, she spent over two decades in the Costing Accounting department at Fun-Tees in Concord, where her intelligence, diligence, and reliability were well-respected.
A devoted sports fan, Patricia found great joy in cheering for the Florida Gators and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers each season. She had a deep love for reading, especially the Bible, and was known for her unwavering loyalty and faith in God.
Music played a special role in Patricia's life, with her heart forever devoted to Elvis Presley; her favorite song, “The Wonder of You,” resonated with her spirit and brought a smile to her face. Additionally, she loved Tom Petty from the time she was young. She especially loved when the Florida Gators started playing “I Won't Back Down” in all the home games as it was her favorite.
Her family and friends will cherish the beautiful memories created over the years. A celebration of Patricia’s life will be planned in about a month, which will honor her legacy and the love she shared with all.
In this time of grief, Patricia leaves behind a lasting impact that will never be forgotten. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
