Simplicity: Lowcountry Cremation and Burial Services - North Charleston
Charles Julian Plowden, Sr
August 2nd, 1993 - October 10th, 2025
Charles “CJ” Plowden, Sr, 32, of Charleston, South Carolina, passed away on October 10, 2025. Survived by his wife, Janet, and three children: Jacob, Julian, and Ashley. Granddaughter, Annalise; two sisters, Kate & Cheryl; three brothers, Paul, Mark & Jerry; and mother, Judy Ann. Along with many family and friends.
Preceded in death by his loving father Charles E Plowden,Jr. Born in Jacksonville, FL. From a young age, he learned the value of hard work and the satisfaction of fixing things with his own two hands. Never afraid to get a little dirty, CJ carried that determination into his career as an electrician, where he took great pride in his craft. CJ was always ready to lend a hand to family and friends- offering help, advice, or one of his newest gadgets or toys that he couldn’t wait to show off.
He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life: sitting with his family, drinking sweet tea, and watching TV. His presence filled every room with an energy and fun-loving spirit that few could match. CJ will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
The funeral will be held at Simplicity Low Country Cremation and Burial Services, 7475 Peppermill Parkway, North Charelston on October 23, 2025, 2pm with a public visitation from 1pm until the 2pm funeral service.
