Cynthia “Cindy”Dee Higley Conner, age 67, Ontario, passed away Sunday, October 12, 2025. Cindy was born July 28, 1958 in Vancouver, Washington. She is the daughter of Grant Dee Higley and Sybil Gibson Higley. She was the oldest of four children and the first grandchild on her mother’s side so she was especially loved.
Cindy moved with her family from Portland, Oregon, in July of 1975 to Fruitland, Idaho. She graduated from Fruitland High School in 1976. She met her husband, Charles Conner, in 1980 and they married in 1982. They made their home in Ontario and have lived there for 43 years. Cindy and Chuck were the parents of two children, Carrie and Grant.
She is survived by her husband Charles “Chuck”, son Grant, daughter Carrie Mitchell, son-in-law Nathan, and beloved granddaughter Emily. She is survived also by her sister Lori White of Windsor, Colorado; and brother Tim Higley, of Boise. She was precededin death by her parents Grant and Sybil and brother Michael Higley.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at the LDS Church located at 661 SW 12th Street, Ontario, Oregon. The family will be in the Relief Society Room at 9:00 a.m. prior to the service to greet family and friends. The burial will take place at the Fairview Cemetery immediately following the funeral.
