Dakota Bee Braaten Fullmer, 29, gained her angel wings on October 10, 2025.
Dakota was born on October 27, 1995 to Amy Griffith and Dan Braaten. Dakota was later joined by her younger brother Kelby. At age 4, she lost her mother Amy while welcoming her brother Kegan.
In 2001 Dakota gained her new mom Aliccia Braaten. Dan and Aliccia blessed Dakota with her adored baby sister Shellby. Dakota loved spending time with her siblings.
In 2010, during freshman year of high school Dakota met the love of her life Taylor John Fullmer. Dakota and Taylor were inseparable from the very beginning with a love that will last forever. Dakota and Taylor welcomed a beautiful daughter Xyrie Dawn in 2013. In 2014 they completed their family with the arrival of Zayden John. Dakota loved Taylor and her kids with everything that she had.
Dakota loved taking drives, listening to music, and getting her nails done with her mom Aliccia and daughter Xyrie. She loved late night treats, often choosing milkshakes or root beer floats.
She completed her GED in 2025. She was a natural caretaker and a friend to everyone. Always willing to help wherever she could. Dakota had a smile brighter than the sun could shine. Her infectious laughter brought joy to everyone around. Dakota loved with everything she had. She had ditzy personality, often laughing at herself. Dakota brought people together even in difficult times.
In the words of Dakota “I was wrong about drugs. I didn’t need the drugs, they needed me. Supply and demand.”
Dakota had her struggles, but she always tried and always fought to overcome the disease of addiction. She fought for Taylor. She fought for Xyrie. She fought for Zayden. Unexpectedly, addiction overcame Dakota and she left this world far too soon. Even in death, Dakota’s selflessness shines through with her decision to continue giving, to help other families and their loved ones.
Dakota is survived by the loves of her life Taylor John, Xyrie Dawn and Zayden John. Parents Dan and Aliccia Braaten, brothers Kelby and Kegan, sister Shellby and countless family members who will love, cherish and carry on her memories. Dakota is preceded in death by her mother Amy Griffith, grandparents, aunts and uncles.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, October 18, 2025 at 1 p.m. at the Ririe Senior Center. 395 Main St, Ririe, ID 83443

We Entrusted Dakota Braaten Fullmer's Care To
Thomason Funeral Home
For more than 100 years, the Thomason Funeral Home has worked to help the Weiser community heal after loss. We help families plan funerals, cremation services, and celebration of life services. Our story began in 1910 when Lloyd Northam opened the doors at the site now occupied by the current Weiser Elk’s Lodge. Since then, the business has had several names, partnerships, and owners. Among them was Dale Thomason, our namesake, who began working at the funeral home in the mid-1940s and purchased the home as a family business to run with his son. At Thomason, we focus on helping your family with personalized care. We do everything we can to provide professional, compassionate support to every family that trusts us with their funeral arrangements. Along with our sister location in Ontario, Oregon, we help Treasure Valley families connect, honor, and remember their loved ones....
