Frances Theresa Munoz, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully at the age of 85 at St Anthony's Hospital, Lakewood, Colorado
Frances, born on March 9th, 1940, in Weld County, Colorado, graduated from Lafayette High School in 1958. She proceeded to live life to the fullest, traveling the world, living in Europe, and Africa. Returning to settle in Superior, Colorado, she enjoyed helping students as an assistant in the Cultural Unity Center at CU Boulder, as well as serving on the Staff Council until her retirement.
Frances was fiercely independent, a private person, with plenty of love to give. She enjoyed spending time with her family, tending her flowers, and keeping up with her neighborhood friends after retiring in Golden, Colorado.
Frances is survived by her three children, John Garry Callis, Carla Lynn Callis Knight, and Cynthia Lee Callis Woluniack, her six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her life partner, Richard Deanda.
Services will be at Ft. Logan National Cemetery. In honor of Frances, the family is asking that folks who feel inclined, donate to Sister Carmen Community Center in Lafayette, CO. A link can be found below for people who want to donate online, but Sister Carmen's also takes food, clothes, and in-person volunteer time donations if that's a better fit. Her family thanks you for anything you give in her name.
