Paul T Flanders

Paul Flanders, 71, of Gaston, SC, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2025, at Prisma Richland Memorial Center.  

Born in Columbia, SC, Paul devoted his life to caring for others, both personally and professionally.  He worked for many years as a cabinet maker and always strived to reach the highest quality in his trade.  

Paul was able to make his home on family property and had a variety of animals to tend to and love.  Paul also had a deep commitment to his faith as a Jehovah’s Witness that shaped his hope for the future and was able to share that hope with others.  He was honest and kind in dealing with family, friends and work associates.  He will be dearly missed by all.  

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sherrod Marshall and Adrienne Taylor Flanders.  

Paul is lovingly survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Sylvia Flanders; his son, Taylor Jordan Flanders; his sister, Sherrie Patterson; sister-in-law, Marilyn Peschard and her husband, Armand.  

A Celebration of Life for Paul will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington, with visitation prior to the service from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m.
