Linda Ann Hollifield Amos
July 17th, 1944 - October 16th, 2025
In Loving Memory
Linda Ann Amos, 81, of Kernersville passed away on October 16, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loved ones. Born in Thomasville, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Hester (Smith) Hollifield and wife of the late Johnny T. Amos.
Linda met the love of her life, Johnny T. Amos, while cruising High Point. Linda worked at Henley Paper before she later became a homemaker. Her family was her greatest joy. Linda was an excellent cook and loved to make meals for her loved ones. She really loved the sight of fresh flowers and would keep them around the home, especially if she had planted them herself. She enjoyed traveling with Johnny to Nascar races, and while she did not care much for the racing itself, she did like to get together with the drivers' families. Linda was a long-time member at Bunker Hill United Methodist Church. Her faith was very important to her and she was a part of the church choir until she could not sing anymore.
Linda is survived by her daughters, Courtney Amos (Tristan), Kimberly Brakefield (Kyle), Robin Setliff (Steve), Tammy Hudson; her grandchildren, Devyn Amos, Nickolas Fayad, Noah Fayad, Heather Vandiver, Richard Hudson, Stephen Amos Jr., Brittany Bowling, and Brandon Brock; her great-grandchildren, Brantleigh Sprouse, Blake Sprouse, Jak Vandiver, Jamesion Vandiver and Kaylee Setliff.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Stephen T. Amos; and her siblings, Joan Gentry, Betty Palmer, Judy Burr, and Bobby Hollifield.
The family will receive friends at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Service, 213 W. Mountain St. Kernersville NC 27284 on Sunday, October 19, 2025 from 4:00PM - 6:00PM. Funeral services will be at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Service, 213 W. Mountain St. Kernersville NC 27284 on Monday, October 20, 2025 at 3:00PM. Interment will be at Bunker Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery in Kernersville.
