Camille Daniele Donovan-Fine
February 23rd, 1972 - October 5th, 2025
“Your children are not your children. They are the sons and daughters of Life’s longing for itself. They come through you but not from you, And though they are with you yet they belong not to you. You may give them your love but not your thoughts, For they have their own thoughts. You may house their bodies but not their souls, For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams. You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like you.” --Kahlil Gibran: On Children
Camille Daniele Donovan, age 53, passed away peacefully at home on October 5th, 2025, following a sudden illness. She was born on February 23, 1972, in Santa Clara, California, to Daniel P. Donovan and Katherine Nash.
Camille has now joined her beloved mother, Katherine Nash, and her step-sister, Rachel Ray of Santa Cruz, California, in peaceful illumination.
A graduate of Harbor High School in Santa Cruz, Camille later built a life and career in Las Vegas, Nevada, where she worked for many years at Olympus Construction.
Camille was a radiant spirit — a true lover of life and a powerful manifester. Her compassion extended deeply to animals, and she was a fierce advocate for their well-being. Whether through direct care for pets or her quiet reverence for all creatures, Camille lived with a tender heart and a luminous presence.
Her "initiating talents and love" will be dearly missed.
Camille is survived by her daughter, Katherine O’Conner; her granddaughter, Hazel O’Conner; her brother, Adam P. Donovan; and her father, Daniel Donovan — as well as many family members, friends, and countless others whose lives she touched.
To those who knew her: we invite you to honor Camille in your own way — through memories, private reflection, shared stories, or gestures of praise, prayer, or devotion. However you choose, may your expression reflect the uniqueness with which she lived and loved.
