Christine "Chris" Jo Zauner

Christine(Chris) Jo Zauner (72) of Largo Florida passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 9th 2025.   Chris was born August 8th, 1953, to John and Alma Zauner in Port Huron Michigan.     Chris graduated from Port Huron Catholic high school in Michigan in 1971.   Chris retired from the United States Postal service in Largo Florida after 20 plus years of service.   Chris was the oldest of 4 children and took on the role as "mom" when Alma passed in 2006.  She had a kind heart and a passion for wanting the best for everyone around her.     Chris was proceeded in death by her Dad John (2000), Alma (Mom 2006), Steve (Brother 2013) and longtime friend and neighbor Nancy Moses (2024)   She is survived by brothers Gary (Port Huron, MI) and Bob (Lexington, NC), nephew Nathan and his wife Amanda (Greensboro NC) niece Brooke (Salisbury,  NC), cousin Kathy Schlinkert (Avoca, MI), cousins Michaela and her husband Nate Moore (Newman, GA) and many, many others to mention.  A special thanks to longtime friend and neighbor for over 35 years, Ronnie Moses (Largo Fl).    I can only imagine the reunion in Heaven that took place with her family (Uncle Toby, Aunt Irene, Bobbi Jean, etc.) AND especially her two dogs Chi and Karma.     A celebration of life will be held at a later day per the family's request.
