Charles "Chuck" Glenn Tragord

Charles “Chuck” Glenn Tragord, age 80, of Sun City West, Arizona, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2025.

Chuck was born on January 16, 1945, to Charles Almont Tragord and Geraldine Rachel Steffeney Tragord. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Geraldine Sulentic, and son-in-law Frank Jordan.

He shared 55 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Charlene Tragord, whom he married on July 18, 1970. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and family.

Chuck is survived by his daughter Jenn Tragord, son Brad Tragord, and daughter-in-law Sarah Payne Tragord. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Brandon and Sean Tragord, who brought him immense joy and pride.

Tennis was one of Chuck’s greatest passions throughout his life. In Iowa, he was an active member of the Black Hawk Tennis Club, where he forged lasting friendships both on and off the court. His love of the game extended beyond playing—he shared his enthusiasm and knowledge as the men’s tennis coach at Wartburg College, guiding the Division III team with dedication and encouragement. After moving to Sun City West in 1998, he continued to enjoy the sport, cherishing the camaraderie and competition it brought him for many years.

Those who knew Chuck will remember his easy laugh, kind spirit, and the way he brought people together through both sport and friendship. His legacy of warmth, generosity, and good humor will continue to live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
