Joy Wilson Noall
September 6th, 1931 - October 16th, 2025
Joy Wilson Noall passed away peacefully at home on Oct. 16, 2025, in Lincoln, CA. She was born September 6, 1931, to Heber A. and Norma L. Wilson, in Escalante, UT.
She grew up on ranches in Utah, Nevada, and California. At 15, she graduated as Valedictorian from Las Vegas High School.
Returning to California, she began college at Bakersfield Jr. College, transferring to UC Berkeley after one year. She graduated from UC Berkeley, Magna Cum Laude, at 19, on June 14, 1951.
On June 15, 1951, she married her college sweetheart, Harold K. "Hal" Noall, while he received his commission in the Army that same day! What a weekend!
Joy worked at various San Fransisco hospitals while Hal completed UOP Dental School, after which they were assigned active duty at Fort Sill, OK.
Returning to the Bay Area, they lived in Berkeley, CA, and Santa Clara, CA, before eventually settling in Yuba City, CA.
Joy soon attended UCD graduate school and began teaching locally in Yuba City and Marysville schools. After also managing Hal's practice for many years, she began a career in Real Estate in Yuba City, and finally retired nearing 80!
She is survived by her sons, Ken, Keith and Chris; daughter, Lorri; and their spouses; as well as eleven grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded by her husband, Hal; and daughter, Susan, who died in infancy.
She enjoyed serving her church as a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
A small graveside service will be held at Sacramento Valley Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Dixon, CA, on Monday, October 27, 2025, at 1:15 PM, where she will be interred with her sweetheart Hal.
