Johnny Butler Roberson, Jr., 84, of Greensboro, North Carolina, peacefully entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior on October 17, 2025, surrounded by his loving family at his son’s home in Georgia.
Born in Henderson, NC, on April 6, 1941, Johnny was the son of the late Butler Roberson and Alice Mae Roberson. He was also preceded in death by his beloved son, Russell Wade Roberson.
Johnny is survived by his devoted wife of 64 years, Carole Ann (Abbott) Roberson; his son, Anthony Mark Roberson; and his sisters, Pearlie Anderson (Johnny) and Charlotte Moss. He also leaves behind three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren who will cherish his memory and legacy.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd, from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at Crusade Baptist Church, 2919 Huffine Mill Road, Gibsonville, NC. The funeral service will follow at 1:30 PM in the church sanctuary, officiated by Pastor Michael R. Martin. Interment will take place at Lakeview Memorial Park, 3600 N. O. Henry Blvd, Greensboro, NC.
Johnny’s life was marked by deep faith, devotion to family, and a quiet strength that touched all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, Johnny's family has requested donations be made directly to Crusade Baptist Church in support of their Missionary work.
