Araminta “Dee” Dolores Shelton of Angels Camp, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2025, at the age of 88. Born on July 11, 1937, in Flint, Michigan.

 

Araminta “Dee” Shelton dedicated her life to her family and her Catholic faith. She was an active member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, where she served with the Carmelites, assisted with various needs of the church, and helped manage Helping Hands Food Service in the community for many years. All who met her would describe her as selfless, kind, caring, as a beautiful soul, and someone full of love especially for God. We were so blessed to have had her as our Momma.

 

Araminta “Dee” Shelton is survived by her sister Maxine Aten (William); her children, Charles Duppen (Danielle), David Duppen, Patricia Corsaletti (Christopher), and Donette Felker (Joseph); 9 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren. 

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Shelton; her sister, Georgeanna Doyle, and her brother, David Goodell, with whom she is now reunited in Heaven. 

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am on November 7, 2025, with reception to follow at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Angels Camp, Ca. Burial to occur for close friends and family at Angels Camp St. Patrick’s Cemeteries at 1:30pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Alzheimer’s Association www.alz.org.
