It is with great love and profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Susan Curry, who passed away peacefully on October 18, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her beloved family.

Susan was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose gentle spirit, kindness, and unwavering faith touched everyone who knew her. Her life was a reflection of love, service, and devotion — qualities she carried with grace in every role she embraced.

She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Richard Curry, with whom she shared a lifetime of faith, laughter, and cherished memories. Together, they built a strong and loving family rooted in compassion and joy.

A faithful member of the Iglesia Ni Cristo, Susan served as a Deaconess, dedicating her life to God and her congregation. Her steadfast faith and humble service inspired all who knew her and left a lasting legacy of devotion.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Jeannette Kamimura and Mary Jane Curry; six grandchildren, Lyla Kamimura, Krystle Thornton, Mark Kamimura, Tiffany Ceralde, Kristoffer Richcreek, and Jordan Ceralde; and three great-granddaughters, Ryumi Kamimura, Reiko Kamimura, and Katalina Richcreek. Her family was her greatest joy, and she took pride in every milestone they achieved.

Viewing will be held at Healey Mortuary on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Burial will follow on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at the California Central Coast Veterans Cemetery in Fort Ord, California. A reception will follow the service.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude for the love, prayers, and support received during this difficult time.

May her beautiful soul rest in eternal peace.

Healey Mortuary

At Healey, we treat our Salinas Valley community members like family. Our story begins after World War II when Veteran Herbert C. Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
