Lynne Ellen Roth (nee Larson), 76, of Monument, Colorado, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2025, after a long and courageous journey with Alzheimer’s disease.
Born and raised in Aberdeen, SD, Lynne graduated from Aberdeen Central High School and, later, Weber State University. She was raised with a strong faith and compassion for others and devoted her life to her family and her community. A dedicated homemaker, she lovingly supported her daughters and grandchildren in all their pursuits. She also served as the Officers’ Wives’ Club President, and later worked for Trinity Lutheran Church, where she found deep meaning in her faith. She was an active member of P.E.O., serving as President of Chapter IH, and volunteered regularly with the Tri-Lakes Community Center, always giving her time and care to others.
Lynne was married to Tom Roth, with whom she shared a loving marriage for 56 years filled with laughter, faith, and partnership. She is survived by her two daughters, Stacey (Chris) and Laura (Mike); three cherished grandchildren, Halley, Alex, and Reese; and her brother, Kevin Larson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Enid and Marvin (Lars) Larson, and her brother, Gordon Larson.
Lynne liked to travel and lived in Germany and around the U.S. She also traveled with Tom around Europe, Australia/New Zealand and Africa, and made many memorable trips to Hawaii. She loved creating beautiful spaces. Her home was her canvas, and every inch of it reflected her care and creativity, showcasing mementos from her travels. She made many close friendships from all her travels and activities and generously cared for her friends just as she did her family.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Monument, followed immediately by a reception at Hearth House.
