Janice Wanda Wheelock

Janice Wheelock passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2025 at the age of 83 at U.C. Health, Highlands Ranch Hospital.  She lived a long, full, and wonderful life serving her God, family and friends. 

 

Her parents, Ervin Wayne Boden of Joe’s Colorado and Emmabel Tidrick was a native to Boulder, Colorado (preceded in death) had three children, Janice, Donald (deceased), and Duane.  Janice grew up in Boulder and graduated from Boulder High School in 1960.  She attended Pasadena Nazarene College (now Point Loma Nazarene University) in Pasadena, California completing her college degree in December 1975 at Northern Colorado University in Greeley, Colorado. 

 

Janice met David Wheelock at Pasadena Nazarene College (now Point Loma University).  Janice and David married on August 24, 1962 at First Church of the Nazarene, Boulder, Colorado.  They were married 63 years had three children, Terri Johnson (Jeff) of Bow, Washington, Tami Long (Matt) of Longmont, Colorado, and Tim Wheelock of Loveland, Colorado. 

 

Janice is survived by six living grandchildren, Holly, Chris, Emily, Reanna, Mitchel, and Marisa.  She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Nicole.  She is survived by three great grandchildren. 

 

Janice has been an active and faithful member of her church, serving as pianist for retirement and nursing facilities, Longmont Senior Chorale, Sunday School Teacher, Missionary President, and other church offices and activities.   

 

A graveside service for Janice will be held at Foothills Garden of Memory at 3:00 pm, Tuesday, October 21, 2025.
